location: meet at the stage in Old Town Square
details: Our evening monthly outing will be Thursday, July 12 at 7 p.m. to photograph the jazz bands playing in Old Town Square. Meet at 7 p.m. at the Old Town Square stage. The concert goes until 10 p.m. and there will be plenty of other activities to photograph. I heard rumors of beer too! |

notes: We will head up to RMNP to drive up Fall River Road. Along this road we will look for wildflowers and other subjects (waterfalls and wildlife seen as well). The road exits at the Alpine Visitor Center on Trail Ridge Road where we can stop for a hike if the alpine trail is open, use the visitor center, etc. From there we will travel down to the Rock Cut for more photo opps, maybe another short hike into the alpine tundra and then back down towards Estes Park. If you are interested in sunrise that morning, please contact Andrew Stiff (andrew.stiff@gmail.com). He may head up early then we will meet at the beginning of Fall River Road near Horseshoe Park at 9 a.m. Bring snacks and lunch with you unless you plan to grad something at the visitor center on Trail Ridge.

Our Outing to capture images of the Larimer County Fair will be held August 3 through 8 before our August membership meeting. notes: We will have a tour and then stop for lunch in their restaurant. We will be permitted to photograph the exterior and interior. We will have a special tour before regular hours so there won't be other people in the area. Tripods will be allowed. We must agree to no commercial use of the images, of course, and we will need to provide copies of our best images to the Brewery. The Brewery is seeking images of the building and their operations that could be used to decorate their interior spaces. They may provide suggestions or requests when we arrive. So it is possible that they will use some of the club members' photographs, although there is no guarantee of that. |
