2012-02-15 FCDCC Meeting Notes

We met in our new meeting room at Ridgeview Classical School
Ridgeview Classical School on the southeast corner of Lemay and Stuart (1800 S. Lemay) Enter through the southwest corner of the building.

We had quite a few visitors at the meeting tonight: Len, Carol, Jane, Jerry, Jason, Ken, Dawn, Larry, Meredith, Ludmilla, David, Ron, Linda, Harry, Dick and Gina. Please welcome them to our club.

Try using the forum on our website, it can be a great way to communicate if we all start using it.

Email mike, info@fcdcc.com, when you find mistakes, missing information or if you have suggestions for the website and I will try to address the issue.

The Bosque Del Apache field trip was amazing and we saw several pictures from the outing during the slideshow.

Continue sending your monthly image submittals to Ken, KenEis@comcast.net. Ken will email you back if he gets your images. If you don't get an email response send your images again. Remember to send in before and after processing versions of your images.

Ridgeview has asked if we would photograph their prom. Send Bob Babbs, info@fcdcc.com, if you are interested. We don't know exactly what they want, but it will probably be a good opportunity to get some experience shooting and event.

The February coffee outing will be Wednesday 2/22 at 9:00am at the Full Throttle Coffee House, 2761 S. Mason St. (above Boomer Music).

The February outing will be Saturday 2/18 from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the CSU Natural Resources Building, Room 316 (our old meeting room). See map to the meeting room except we will be in room 316. We will be experimenting with macro photography. Bring your camera, tripod, small objects, and if possible bring flashes, lights, backdrops and light tents. Contact Ken, KenEis@comcast.net for more information.

The February alternate topic is abstract macrophotography.

We still need a fixit photo for March (and more future months). Please send images for the fixit photo to Mike info@fcdcc.com.

The March outing will be Saturday 3/24 at 9:00am at the Loveland Feed & Grain building for architectural photography. There will be a charge of $10/person.

Raul Garcia from Denver will be speaking about architectural photography on 3/13 at 6:15pm at the Ridgeview Classical School.

Dawn is organizing a trip to Wray to photograph the Prairie Chickens on 3/31-4/1.
Email Dawn, dwilson@medvetcomm.com if you are interested in carpooling. She hasn't yet booked a hotel but will let you know the details once she has them.
