2014-10-15 FCDCC Meeting Notes

We met in the 2nd floor band room at Ridgeview Classical School
Ridgeview Classical School on the southeast corner of Lemay and Stuart (1800 S. Lemay) Enter through the east side of the building.

Please welcome Bill, Andrew, Chase and Rick who were visiting our club meeting.

Please pay your dues for 2014 to Harry Strharsky if you haven't already paid. You can find him at most meetings. Annual dues are $25/member with $15 for each additional spouse and $10 for each additional child under 18. Dues are prorated based on the month you join.

Check out the SIGs (Special Interest Groups); they have been holding lots of meetings and going on lots of outings. Participating in a SIG is an excellent way to develop your skills.

Send your photograph submittals for the meetings to Ken Eis at keneis@comcast.net. Remember to send in before and after versions of your pictures so we can learn about post processing. Please send in 3 or fewer pictures for the slideshow, and send them by Sunday evening so Ken has time to create the slideshow.

We will be electing new officers at the November meeting. We need volunteers to run for President Elect, Secretary, Treasurer, Programs, and Outings, so think about running for office.

The FCDCC Christmas Party will be December 9 at Jim Piraino's house, and it will be catered by Nordy's. Please pay $20/person to Gary Jens so he can hire the caterers. BYOB

November Alternate topic is bighorn sheep.

The October club outing to the Maroon Bells was very successful. Several members showed images from the outing at the October club meeting.

Dawn will organize a club show at the Nagle Warren Mansion in Cheyenne. Details TBD

October 21: October Coffee meeting 9am at the Fort Collins Coffee House.

October 25: Zombie Crawl (free) 5pm-9:34pm in Old Town Square

November 2: Portrait SIG model shoot 1pm-5pm theme is "Costumes" or "Beauty" at Mike's House.

November 11 @6:30pm: Club meeting at Ridgeview Classical School

November 23: Wildlife SIG outing to Georgetown to photograph bighorn sheep.

November 24 or 25 (TBD): Travel slideshow at Mulligans on College. Submit your photos to Dawn by 11/17.

November 25: November club outing will be "24 hours in Fort Collins". You have 24 hours on 11/25 to take pictures of Fort Collins. Everyone will be shooting on their own, and we will meet for lunch (details TBD). Then submit your best 3 pictures to Ken for the next club meeting slideshow.
