2013-01-08 FCDCC Meeting Notes

We met in our regular room at Ridgeview Classical School
Ridgeview Classical School on the southeast corner of Lemay and Stuart (1800 S. Lemay) Enter through the east side of the building.

We had several visitors at the meeting tonight, Dave, Jackie, Ed, Shelby, Robin, Mila, Mark and Marty, please welcome them to our club.

Please pay your dues for 2013 to Harry Strharsky if you haven't already paid. You can find him at most meetings. Annual dues are $25/member with $15 for each additional spouse and $10 for each additional child under 18.

Check out what the SIGs (Special Interest Groups), they have been holding lots of meetings and going on lots of outings. Participating in a SIG is an excellent way to develop your skills.

Continue sending photograph submittals for the meetings to Bob Babbs at bobbabbs@aol.com. We are looking for a new volunteer to handle the photograph submittals. If you are interested please contact Bob. Remember to send in before and after versions of your pictures so we can learn about post processing.

We need to elect a "President Elect" for the club. The President Elect for this year will become the club President next year, and they are expected to cover the President's responsibilities if the President is not able to attend a meeting or outing. If you would like to be the President Elect, or would like to recommend someone for the position, just send an email to info@fcdcc.com.

Our December outing was the HPI photo shoot, and it went well again this year. We made portraits for 24 families.

Our January Club Outing will be to shoot macros on Saturday 1/12 from 8:30am to 12:00pm. We will meet at the CSU Natural Resources Building rooms NR316 & NR320. Bring your macro equipment and something to photograph.

Our January Coffee Outing will be on 1/31 at 9:00am at the Dazbog on Cherry and Mason.

The January Wildlife SIG Outing has been delayed to 2/10, we will be taking pictures of eagles.

The February Club Outing will be to shoot pictures at the Butterfly Pavillion on 2/16. Details to follow...
