2014-09-10 FCDCC Meeting Notes

We met in our normal room (PAC) at Ridgeview Classical School
Ridgeview Classical School on the southeast corner of Lemay and Stuart (1800 S. Lemay) Enter through the east side of the building.

Please welcome Dan and Don who were visiting our club meeting.

Please pay your dues for 2014 to Harry Strharsky if you haven't already paid. You can find him at most meetings. Annual dues are $25/member with $15 for each additional spouse and $10 for each additional child under 18. Dues are prorated based on the month you join.

Check out the SIGs (Special Interest Groups); they have been holding lots of meetings and going on lots of outings. Participating in a SIG is an excellent way to develop your skills.

Send your photograph submittals for the meetings to Ken Eis at keneis@comcast.net. Remember to send in before and after versions of your pictures so we can learn about post processing. Please send in 3 or fewer pictures for the slideshow, and send them by Sunday evening so Ken has time to create the slideshow.

We will be electing new officers at the November meeting. We need volunteers to run for President Elect, Secretary, Treasurer, Programs, and Outings, so think about running for office.

The FCDCC Christmas Party will be December 9 at Jim Piraino's house, and it will be catered by Nordy's.

The October speaker will be Alex Burke who will talk about large format cameras and scanning negatives and slides.

September 16 @7pm: Aspen trip planning meeting at Ken's house.

September 25 @9am: Coffee outing at Fort Collins Coffee House

October 2-TBD: Club October Outing to Aspen for Fall Colors. Please email Dawn Wilson (dwilson@medvetcomm.com) if you are going on the fall colors outing so I can get a head count and a list of people to expect.

October 5 @1pm: Portrait SIG model shoot

October 12: Wildlife SIG outing to RMNP for elk rut

October 14 @6:30pm: Club meeting at Ridgeview Classical School
