Thu 8/15 @8am Macro Shoot - Flowers at CSU Trial Gardens:
Meet at the Gazebo in the Gardens at NW corner of Lake Street and Remington Street.
The wind was uncooperative for our July 20th Macro photo-shoot at the CSU Trial Gardens so I thought we would try this location again. I visited the gardens earlier this week and the annual are now in full bloom and there are many interesting flowers in the perennial beds. Since the light becomes harsh around 10:00 am, this would be a good time to wrap up the photo-shoot and head over to the Wild Boar Cafe for coffee and food. - Smiles, Paul Marcoux
Sun 9/1 @5:30am - Wildlife outing to shoot Moose in Cameron Pass area
Wildlife SIG - Sorry to be a bit late in getting this email out. As announced at last week's club meeting, this month's Wildlife SIG outing will be for Moose in the Long Draw Rd / Cameron Pass area on Sunday Sept.1 While at least a couple of Moose can generally be found any time during the day, they are most active in the early morning (and again near sunset) I would like to get an early start from Ft. Collins. For car pooling, lets meet on the north side of town in the King Sooper's parking lot off North College (past JAX) at 5:30 in the north west corner of the parking lot. From there it is roughly an hour and 15 minute drive to Long Draw Road. Based on past experience in this general area, we will likely be done shooting 10:00 or so. I do not plan on staying around through the afternoon for evening Moose activity. As always, please let me know if you are planning on joining this shoot so we do not leave anyone who may be running a bit late. - Guy
