SIG Meetings/Outings
Macro SIG - Tue 7/28 @7:30am at the CSU Trial Gardens
Hi Folks,
I thought it would be good to have a Macro SIG outing that follows the model Ken Eis suggested to the landscape SIG. A socially distancing Macro SIG photoshoot sounds like fun. On weekday mornings the CSU Trial Gardens has few visitors. There are many varieties of flowers spread out over a large area and the temperature is typically pleasant. This week I went to the CSU Trial Gardens and found that the flowers were fully blossoming and pollinators were plentiful. The suggested topics for this outing are cultivated flowers, pollinators and plant textures. The plan is to put photographs on these topics into a presentation for club members at a future date. The Macro SIG outing will be on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 starting at 7:30 a.m. Let’s gather near the Gazebo wearing our masks. From there we can easily spread out across the annual and perennial gardens. This is a great time of year to take photographs of the selected topics. The photographs for the presentation are not limited to those taken at the outing. Please feel free to go out and take photographs on these topics at your favorite location(s). At the end of August please send me 6 to 8 of your favorite images from the photoshoots. Include your name along with the name of the flower, pollinator or plant in each photograph. I will assemble these images into a presentation to be scheduled in the fall.
