I expect that this will be a controversial SIG as the topic of AI generated art seems to polarize people into 2 camps, they either love the concept that now they can make beautiful art or they hate the idea that "unskilled" people can make better art than they can. I am sure that we will have different views, but I hope that we can get along and respect everyone's views. 1. We discussed DALL-E 3 using Bing Copilot
We had 4 assigned tasks and several of our members showed what they created using DALL-E 3.
Jim created some beautiful alcohol ink art using Adobe FireFly.
Walt created quite a few humorous images using DALL-E 3.
Kevin showed us how he created an Anime version of himself from a photograph.
We experimented with DALL-E 3 using Bing Copilot.

2. We discussed creating AI images using Leonardo (Stable Diffusion online)
We demonstrated how to create images from a text prompt with Leonardo. I have included instructions to get you started creating images with Leonardo at the end of these notes.

There is a lot more that Leonardo can do that we did not cover at the meeting, so we will continue our Leonardo discussion next month. I have included a couple examples of "Realtime Canvas" images, where on the left is my painting input and on the right is what Leonardo did with it.

3. I am asking everyone to experiment with the Leonardo online AI tool, before the next meeting. It is free to use up to 150 tokens per day. After you use up your tokens you have to upgrade to a premium (paid) account or wait until the next day.

TASK #1
Create a few images using the Image Creation tool in Leonardo, download them, and show them at the next SIG meeting. Try a variety of styles and subjects, and modify your prompts to improve the images. Compare the image quality to what you generated with DALL-E 3.

TASK #2
Create a few images using the Realtime Canvas tool in Leonardo. Type a text prompt in the box, and then draw a rough version of the image that you want to create. Modify your drawing and watch how it changes the output image. Click on the "Output to Input" link to move the generated image to the input image box and the Realtime Canvas tool will create a new image in the output image box that combines your prompt with the new input image. Click on the "Instant Refine" button to improve the output image quality. Play with the images and download them so you can show them at the next meeting.

Try out any of the other Leonardo tools. Tell us about them at the next meeting.
