Let's meet at 6pm on Thursday 10/12 at the fountain in Old Town Square, Fort Collins. We will walk around and take pictures of buildings, alleys, streets, store windows and night life. You might want to add a little light with a flashlight. You can diffuse the light by adding wax paper in front of the light, you might even want to try shining the flashlight through colored plastic to add color. WHERE: Fort Collins City Park and Grandview Cemetery
WHY: Socializing and Photography
City Park has a lake with waterbirds, an arboretum, a trolley depot, and recreation fields. Grandview Cemetery has many historical figures from Fort Collins, interesting gravestones, and there used to be a great horned owl nest in one of the trees. Let's meet at the "Statue of Liberty" in Fort Collins City Park, then walk around the park and the adjacent Grandview Cemetery looking for interesting photographic opportunities. Whoever is interested can join me for lunch at a local restaurant when we are done taking photographs.

Tim Sekiya has invited us to photograph the Dracula Ballet final dress rehearsal. He is looking for 10-12 photographers. This is a rehearsal with no other audience so we can move around during the performance. Please contact me ASAP as this is limited to 12 photographers.
Saturday 10/28@9am - Lions Open Space Photo Walk

Let's meet in the Lions Park parking lot at 9am on Saturday 10/28. Fall color along the Poudre is fading fast, but there are still some great opportunities if you know where to look. This morning we explored Lions Park and the Cache la Poudre Disc Golf course and found some great areas. Unfortunately the disc golf course is closed during school hours, but it will be open on Saturday. About 210 sandhill cranes flew over us while we were at the park. I plan on shooting for a couple hours, and then heading over to Vern's Cafe for lunch or at least a sweet roll.
