2014-02-11 FCDCC Meeting Notes

We met in the Orchestra room at Ridgeview Classical School
Ridgeview Classical School on the southeast corner of Lemay and Stuart (1800 S. Lemay) Enter through the east side of the building.

Please pay your dues for 2013 to Harry Strharsky if you haven't already paid. You can find him at most meetings. Annual dues are $25/member with $15 for each additional spouse and $10 for each additional child under 18. Dues are prorated based on the month you join.

Check out the SIGs (Special Interest Groups); they have been holding lots of meetings and going on lots of outings. Participating in a SIG is an excellent way to develop your skills.

This month send your photograph submittals for the meetings to Gerry Cashman at gcash357@gmail.com. Remember to send in before and after versions of your pictures so we can learn about post processing. Please send in 3 or less pictures for the slideshow, and send them by Sunday evening so Gerry has time to create the slideshow.

The club members should try out some of the new features that Rich Ernst is proposing that we add to the club website, Forum, Photo Gallery, and Calendar. These tools can help our membership communicate, but they require much more effort to keep running. In a couple months we will ask the membership if they want to add these features to the club website, or replace the club website with a Joomla version, or if they prefer the current website and implementing the Forum, Photo Gallery and Calendar in external tools like Google+. We need volunteers to help out with a few Ridgeview Classical Schools events:
March 1 - Father-Daughter Dance at Ridgeview Classical School in the evening
May 10 - Prom at Fort Collins Country Club starting at 5:30pm
May 24 - Graduation at Summit View Church on Drake starting at noon

We need photographers and helpers at each of these events. I will get more details when I can, but I need volunteers for the Father-Daughter Dance now. Ridgeview helps us a lot by providing a meeting room for free so we should help them out when we can. If you are willing to help please email Mike Barry at info@fcdcc.com.
