2012-08-14 FCDCC Meeting Notes

We met in our new meeting room at Ridgeview Classical School
Ridgeview Classical School on the southeast corner of Lemay and Stuart (1800 S. Lemay) Enter through the east side of the building.

We had several visitors at the meeting tonight, Dan, Mallory, Gary and Roxanne, please welcome them to our club.

Please pay your dues for 2012 to Rich Ernst if you haven't already paid. You can find him at most meetings. Annual dues are $25/member with $15 for each additional spouse and $10 for each additional child under 18.

Check out what the SIGs (Special Interest Groups), they have been holding lots of meetings and going on lots of outings. Participating in a SIG is an excellent way to develop your skills.

We will be electing officers at the September meeting, and we are looking for members willing to run for offices. So far we have:

The August club outing was to the Larimer County Fair, which has taken place before our club meeting.

The August coffee outing will be Thursday 8/23 at the Fort Collins Coffee House.

The August evening outing will be Friday 8/24 at 5:30pm at St. Vrain State Park for sunset pictures. Arrange carpools informally if you wish.

The September club outing will be the Grand Tetons, Friday 9/21 to Monay 9/24. The Motel 6 is holding a block of rooms until 8/22 so make your reservations ASAP. Send Bob Babbs an email if you are planning to go on the outing.

The August Wildlife SIG outing will be Mount Evans on Sunday 8/19. Meet at the Harmony Transportation Center on Harmony at 4:00 AM on Sunday to carpool to Mount Evans.

The Library Art Contest went well, and they will be displaying the winners in August or September at the main library.

The topic for August is: Live Music Stage Performers

The alternate photo topic for August is: Any outdoor Public Activity, Concert, Festival, Performance.
