We met in our regular room at Ridgeview Classical School

We had several visitors at the meeting tonight, Dave, Mark, Will, Roger, Janet, Gary, Shelby, Jan, Cathy, Stephanie, Dennis, and Bob, please welcome them to our club.
Please pay your dues for 2013 to Harry Strharsky if you haven't already paid. You can find him at most meetings. Annual dues are $25/member with $15 for each additional spouse and $10 for each additional child under 18.
Check out what the SIGs (Special Interest Groups), they have been holding lots of meetings and going on lots of outings. Participating in a SIG is an excellent way to develop your skills.
Continue sending photograph submittals for the meetings to Bob Babbs at bobbabbs@aol.com. We are looking for a new volunteer to handle the photograph submittals. If you are interested please contact Bob. Remember to send in before and after versions of your pictures so we can learn about post processing.
We need to elect a "President Elect" for the club. The President Elect for this year will become the club President next year, and they are expected to cover the President's responsibilities if the President is not able to attend a meeting or outing. If you would like to be the President Elect, or would like to recommend someone for the position, just send an email to info@fcdcc.com.
We decided to try to rent the Old Goodwill Building for the Model Shoot outing in March, unless the Moose Club building on South College is a better deal. Bob Babbs and Mike Barry will investigate.
The February outing is to the Butterfly Pavillion in Westminster. We will meet at 8am at the Harmony Transportation Center, in the NE corner. The Butterfly Pavillion opens at 9am. Monopods are OK, but tripods are not OK. Keep your camera warm until you get into the pavillion, it will prevent condensation on your lenses.
The February Coffee Outing is Wednesday 2/27 at 9am at the Fort Collins Coffee Shop.
The February alternate topic is WOOD.
The March outing will be the Model Shoot on Saturday 3/16. Location: TBD
Pat Gaines would like to teach club members about Night-Time photography. Email Dawn Wilson if you are interested and she will put you in touch with Pat.
The March Wildlife SIG outing will be Sunday 3/17 to photograph bison at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal.
The Butterfly Pavillion is holding a class "Introduction to Macro Photography" on April 20. It costs $15 to attend.
Dawn is organizing a trip to Wray, CO to photograph prairie chickens, 4/20-21. The town of Wray charges $100 for the prairie chicken tour. Contact Dawn if you are interested.
The library wants us to run a photo contest again this year. Contact Lynne if you are interested in helping colorado.lynne@gmail.com.
The March Macro SIG outing will be 2/21 at Eleanor Oyen's home.
There is an Orchid Shoot in Denver on 2/19. Tripods and Flashes are allowed.
