The total cost for the building for a 3 hour time period is $300. I would like to have all of the photographers split this cost evenly – 6 photographers = $50 each to participate. If we have more photographers, we could possibly add an extra hour, or just lower the cost to everyone.
Pay $50 to Kai if you want to be one of the photographers for this event.
From my personal modeling group, I have 10+ models that would like to participate and will be doing so on a Trade for Prints/Digital Images basis. I would expect each photographer to give each model they work with at least 10 finished, digital images for their time.
I will be bringing my 2 studio strobes (nothing special, but they work well) and a few speed lights with me to share. I hope there are others that could bring at least a speed light & light stand or two as well, extra strobes would be even more awesome! Mike will be bringing two speedlights with umbrellas on light stands, with radio transceivers that will work with any camera that has a center-pole type hot shoe.
There are 2-3 locations in the building, that I’d like to set up as “stations” for a rotation based system. We would rotate the models through the stations every 20-30 minutes for the first 90 mins, then rotate the photographers the same way for the second half of the shoot. If a photographer and a model were waiting for their turns, they could easily catch a few photos in the other cool locations in the building as well.
As far as for shoot ideas, most of the shots I'm hoping to get are going to be a lounge singer look, a speakeasy look, and I have hopes for a clothed burlesque look, if someone shows up with that kind of period costume. So many of the images I've found are not quite fitting for what -I- want. But I will see what I can come up for a mood page. |
