2024-10-15 Fine Art Photography SIG meeting notes

We met online using ZOOM 6:00pm-8:30pm

The goal of our Fine Art Photography SIG is to help each other to create fine art from our photography.
The Fine Art SIG is a place where artists support each other and nurture creativity in others.
Unrequested criticism can feed an artist's fear of failure and stifle their creative growth.

OUR DISCUSSION TOPICS WERE "Cole Thompson's Presentation", "Water Drop Refraction Photography", "Smoke Photography" and the Artist Studio Tours.
We decided to look for inspiration at the Artist Studio Tours.
The smoke shoot was so much fun that we are planning on having another shoot soon.

If the timing for the tours is not convenient for you, or you want to visit different artists, go ahead and make your own tour.

Saturday 10/19 @11am Let's meet at Paul Kirby's studio

We can see his artist robot, and decide which other studios we want to visit on the Loveland Art Studio Tour.

Sunday 10/27 @12pm Let's meet at Cole Thompson's studio
4780 Totonka Trail, Fort Collins
Cole has given our club his presentation at least 2 times, here is your chance to meet him in person. We can decide which other studios we want to visit on the Fort Collins Artist Studio and Sale Tour.

Several members showed projects that they were working on.

PICK A TOPIC FOR THE NEXT MEETING
We have decided to create "Fall Color" fine art images for the next meeting. Fall Color includes trees, leaves, flowers... anything that pleases you, especially if it is colorful.
