MEETING NOTES: Infrared SIG_23 February 2023 _Inaugural Meetin

The first ZOOM gathering of the IR SIG was attended by Judy Cannon, Paul Marcoux, Rich Ernest, Albert Wang, Linda Haehnle, Rich Roberts and was moderated by Walt Lyons

To start, there was a brief discussion by attendees outlined their interests in the topic, any gear they have available, and the topics they may wish to pursue.

Walt Lyons made a presentation (“Photographing the Invisible”) on the basics on Infrared photography, camera conversions, filters, and a brief overview of the issues of white balancing and post processing in general. It ended with a list of resources to help begin exploring the subject in detail

The question arose as to whether one could use an iPhone to shoot in the Infrared. The answer is YES. See the Rob Shea website (below)
