2015-11-10 FCDCC Meeting Notes

We met in the Band Room at Ridgeview Classical School
Ridgeview Classical School on the southeast corner of Lemay and Stuart (1800 S. Lemay) Enter through the east side of the building.

Ken, Chris and Mason were visiting at the meeting, please welcome them.

Please pay your dues for 2016 to Rich Ernst at the January meeting if you haven't already paid. You can find him at most meetings. Annual dues are $25/member with $15 for each additional spouse and $10 for each additional child under 18. Dues are prorated based on the month you join.

Check out the SIGs (Special Interest Groups); they have been holding lots of meetings and going on lots of outings. Participating in a SIG is an excellent way to develop your skills.

Please send your SIG outings schedules to info@fcdcc.com so I can add them to the website.

Send your photograph submittals for the September meeting to Walter Lyons at photoeditor@fcdcc.com. Remember to send in before and after versions of your pictures so we can learn about post processing. Please send in 3 or fewer pictures for the slideshow, and send them by Sunday evening so Walt has time to create the slideshow. We also accept short videos for the slideshow.

Harry Strharsky gave us the treasurer's report:
We have 78 paid members and $4400 in the club bank account.

Harry Strharsky has proposed that we create a partnership with Kevin Cook. Kevin gives free educational programs to the local community. His topics are usually natural history related. He needs pictures of landscapes, animals, plants, and macro images for his programs. Kevin has special image requests for upcoming programs. Please take a look at the "FCDCC AGREEMENT" document that Harry has provided. If you would like to offer your images for Kevin to use subject to the terms of the FCDCC AGREEMENT, download the document, print it out, fill in your information and give it back to Harry Strharsky.

Kevin Cook will make the January presentation to our club.

The president will delegate responsibilities for Outings and Programs as required, so we have eliminated the Outings and Programs chairman positions.
