2018-06-12 FCDCC Meeting Notes We met in the Community room of the Coloradoan Newspaper, 1300 Riverside Ave. Fort Collins. Please welcome Drew and Zach who were visiting our club. Please pay your dues for 2018 to Rich Ernst at the next meeting if you haven't already paid. You can find him at most meetings. Annual dues are $25/member with $15 for a spouse and $10 for each additional child under 18. Dues are prorated based on the month you join. Check out the SIGs (Special Interest Groups); they have been holding lots of meetings and going on lots of outings. Participating in a SIG is an excellent way to develop your skills. Please send your SIG outing schedules to info@fcdcc.com so I can add them to the website. Send your photograph submittals (corrected fix-it-photos, club outings, challenge topics, or your favorite images) to Walter Lyons at photoeditor@fcdcc.com. Remember to send in before and after versions of your pictures so we can learn about post processing. Please send in 3 or fewer pictures for the slideshow, and send them by Sunday evening so Walt has time to create the slideshow. We also accept short videos for the slideshow. We won't have a club meeting in July, we will have a picnic on July 10 @5:30pm at Shelter #7 in City Park instead. The club will pay for meat from Serious Texas BBQ. Spouses/Partners are welcome, please email Paul marcoux info@fcdcc.com if you plan to attend the picnic. We need a headcount before purchasing the food. Thanks to Brice Harbert for his presentation on "Who is Bryce Harbert?" Just for future reference: We use the projector that The Coloradoan provides during our meetings, and it requires an HDMI connector if you plan to use your own laptop for your presentation. If you don't have an HDMI connector, you can put your presentation in PDF format on a USB memory stick and play it on the laptop that we use for the club information. Please check out our club Facebook page by searching on Facebook for "Fort Collins Digital Camera Club". Check out the "Club Discounts" page on our website. Hunt's Camera has promised to give us items for club activities if our members order enough products from their website. At the September meeting we will discuss if we want to continue the "Club Discounts" page on our website. Fort Collins High School is looking for a few volunteers to come to the High School and teach students how to take portraits.
