2019-02-12 FCDCC Meeting Notes We met in the Eagle 1 room at the Aztlan Center, 112 E Willow Street, Fort Collins, CO 80524 Please welcome Abbey, Jill, VIcky, Aaron and Wes, who were visiting our club. Please pay your dues for 2019 to Dave Chamness at the next meeting if you haven't already paid. You can find him at most meetings. Annual dues are $25/member with $15 for a spouse and $10 for each additional child under 18. Dues are prorated based on the month you join. Check out the SIGs (Special Interest Groups); they have been holding lots of meetings and going on lots of outings. Participating in a SIG is an excellent way to develop your skills. Conceptual Photography - Kai Frawg Please send your SIG outing schedules to info@fcdcc.com so I can add them to the website. Send your photograph submittals (corrected fix-it-photos, club outings, challenge topics, or your favorite images) to Walter Lyons at photoeditor@fcdcc.com. Remember to send in before and after versions of your pictures so we can learn about post processing. Please send in 3 or fewer pictures for the slideshow, and send them by Sunday evening so Walt has time to create the slideshow. We also accept short videos for the slideshow. March meeting challenge topics: "Lovers/Friends/Pals" and "Awesome/Overwhelming". The March Fix-It-Photo is "Legacy Park in Winter" by Kai Frawg and you can find it on the website. If you don't already have a headshot on the website, please send one to Mike Barry at info@fcdcc.com. Many thanks to Rich Ernst for his presentation on "The Artist in Me". We won't have a presentation at the March meeting, we will have an equipment swap/sale instead. February's presentation will be Topaz Filters by Rich Ernst. The Post Processing SIG has decided to try private tutoring. Please contact Stephanie, Rich or Harry if you are interested in being a mentor or having a mentor help you. Bob is ready to start the Photography 101 classes. Please contact him if you are interested. Kai will start the Conceptual SIG in March. We need a leader for the March club outing to the Greeley Model Train Museum. The leader doesn't have to do much, just meet people at the Harmony Transfer Center and tell them to go to the museum.
