2019-05-14 FCDCC Meeting Notes We met in the Eagle 1 room at the Aztlan Center, 112 E Willow Street, Fort Collins, CO 80524 Please welcome Dave, Virgil and Nathan who were visiting our club. Please pay your dues for 2019 to Dave Chamness at the next meeting if you haven't already paid. You can find him at most meetings. Annual dues are $25/member with $15 for a spouse and $10 for each additional child under 18. Dues are prorated based on the month you join. Check out the SIGs (Special Interest Groups); they have been holding lots of meetings and going on lots of outings. Participating in a SIG is an excellent way to develop your skills. Remember to send in before and after versions of your pictures so we can learn about post processing. Please send in 3 or fewer pictures for the slideshow, and send them by Sunday evening so Walt has time to create the slideshow. We also accept short videos for the slideshow. June meeting challenge topics: TBD (Paul will send out an email). The June Fix-It-Photo is "Cabin in the Woods" by Cecil Hellyer and you can find it on the website. If you don't already have a headshot on the website, please send one to Mike Barry at info@fcdcc.com. Please thank Dawn Wilson for her presentation on "Wildlife in Alaska". You can see more of her fantastic wildlife photography on her website DawnWilsonPhotography.com. Vern Kellie will give the June club presentation on "Sports Photography". We will have the annual club picnic at City Park (Shelter #7) instead of a club meeting in July (July 9 at 5:30pm). We need a volunteer to organize the Christmas party (reserve a restaurant or meeting space, decide on potluck/catering/restaurant, figure out activities...). You are welcome to post fix-it or challenge topic or anything that you want on our Facebook page. I would like to see more pictures from our SIG outings on Facebook. We still need a President Elect.
