2020-05-12 FCDCC Meeting Notes

We met online using ZOOM software. 28 members were in attendance and video and audio quality were very acceptable. Please login before 6:30pm when the official meeting starts. The social part of the meeting runs from 6:00pm to 6:30pm. Paul will email meeting invitations for the monthly club meetings and the monthly coffee meetings to all club members. If you haven't received your invitation by the day of the meeting, please send an email to info@fcdcc.com, and either Paul or I (Mike Barry) will send you the meeting ID and password.

Please welcome Czesia Lowman from Canada, who was visiting our club.

Pay your dues for 2020 to Dave Chamness at the next meeting if you haven't already paid. Dave attends most monthly meetings and you can ask him for his address and the current amount of dues so you can send him a check in the mail. Annual dues are $25/member with $15 for a spouse and $10 for each additional child under 18. Dues are prorated based on the month you join.

Please contact Paul Marcoux <PJMarx@aol.com> if you are interested in displaying photographs for sale at the Carnegie Center for Creativity in the 2nd half of November. If there is enough interest we will try to arrange the show.

Some of the SIG meetings and outings are being held on ZOOM, but many of them are on hold until the Stay at Home order is cancelled.

Send your photograph submittals (corrected fix-it-photos, club outings, challenge topics, or your favorite images) (up to 8 images) to Walter Lyons at photoeditor@fcdcc.com. Remember to send in before and after versions of your pictures so we can learn about post processing. Please send them by Sunday evening so Walt has time to create the slideshow. We are working on adding videos to the slideshow, but we haven't figured out how to do that yet.

June meeting challenge topics: "Home Sweet Home" and "Shapes and Sizes".

Please send images (Fix-It-Photos) that you would like everyone to try "Fixing" to Mike Barry at info@fcdcc.com.

If you don't already have a headshot on the website, please send one to Mike Barry at info@fcdcc.com.

Many thanks to Dawn Wilson for her "Alaska Site Threatened" presentation. See more of her work on her website at: DawnWilsonPhotography.com
