2022-09-13 FCDCC Meeting Notes
About 23 FCDCC members met online using ZOOM software. Please login between 6:00pm and 6:30pm. The social part of the meeting starts at 6:00pm, and the business part of the meeting starts at 6:30pm. Paul will email meeting invitations for the monthly club meetings and the monthly coffee meetings to all club members. If you haven't received your invitation by the day of the meeting, please send an email to info@fcdcc.com, and either Paul or I (Mike Barry) will send you the meeting ID and password.
If you ever have any problems getting into a club ZOOM meeting, please email me at info@fcdcc.com. I try to monitor the club's email account during the monthly meetings and will help you get into the meeting if you have any problems.
Several club members do not get the email invitations to our club meetings. I will add a ZOOM meeting link to the October 2022 page of our website before the next meeting, and anyone can use this link to get into the monthly ZOOM meeting.
Club officers for 2022 are :
President - Mike Dunetts
President Elect - Albert Wang
Secretary - Mike Barry
Treasurer - Dave Chamness
Facebook Page Moderators - Mike Barry, Mike Dunetts
Photo Submissions Editor - Jim Limburg
Website Manager - Mike Barry
Pay your dues for 2022 to Dave Chamness (3854 Braidwood Drive, Fort Collins, CO 80524) if you haven't already paid. Annual dues are $25/member with $15 for a spouse and $10 for each additional child under 18. You can now pay your dues ONLINE with PayPal!!!
Collected dues are down, but our expenses are down even more so our club is doing well financially.
We will continue to hold our club meetings on ZOOM until further notice due to the uncertainty of the COVID pandemic.
When you hear about interesting upcoming events, please email Mike Barry (info@FCDCC.com) and give him details so they can be listed on the website.

Rocky Mountain National Park timed entry ends 10/10, after that you can enter whenever you wish. Bighorn sheep are in Watterton Canyon. The Elk rut has started in RMNP.
Joan mentioned a macro project photographing "Insects and Spiders". Paul will send details by email.
If we are going to have an FCDCC Christmas Party at a restaurant this year we should be making reservations soon. 14 of the 23 members in attendance at the meeting would consider attending an indoor Christmas Party at a restaurant, but it would depend on the state of COVID. Reservations will probably not be refundable, even if COVID closes down the party.
Please email info@fcdcc.com if your SIG will be meeting soon so I can add the meeting to our website.
Send your photograph submittals (corrected fix-it-photos, club outings, challenge topics, old and new, or your favorite images) (up to 8 images) to Jim Limburg at jlimburg1@gmail.com. Remember to send in before and after versions of your pictures so we can learn about post processing. Please send them by Sunday evening so Jim has time to create the slideshow.
Please add captions to the pictures that you submit for the monthly slideshow, and clearly note which picture they pertain to, by stating the filename if possible.
October meeting challenge topics:
1. "T" is for...
2. Fall Color
3. Your best image taken or processed since the last meeting.
The October Fix-It-Photo is "Poudre River Canyon" by Bill Stekelberg.
Please send images (Fix-It-Photos) that you would like everyone to try "Fixing" to Mike Barry at info@fcdcc.com.
If you don't already have a headshot on the website, please send one to Mike Barry at info@fcdcc.com.
Many thanks to Andy Goris for his wonderful presentation on "A Bazillion Ways to get Sharper Pictures".
Our members contributed images to the September slideshow, and you can find it on the club website on the September 2022 page.
Please check out our club Facebook page by searching on Facebook for "Fort Collins Digital Camera Club". You are welcome to post fix-it or challenge topic or anything that you want on our Facebook page. I would like to see more pictures from our SIG outings on Facebook.
Email Mike, info@fcdcc.com, when you find mistakes, missing information or if you have suggestions for the website and I will try to address the issues.
