Every year our club takes pictures of people from the community that go to the Homeless Prevention Initiative. We process the images, print them, frame them and give them to the people free of charge. Many of these families are single parent households and some have never had a high quality portrait taken before. They all appreciate our work.
I am looking for volunteers for this year's HPI Shoot.
Portrait shoot: Saturday 11/12 12pm-5pm
Judge images: Tuesday 11/22 @6:30pm
Assemble packages:
Tuesday 12/6 @6:30pm
Deliver framed photographs: Saturday 12/10 (time TBD)
Please send me an email if you would like to help out with:
photography (take the portraits and process them),
helpers (greeters, guides, posers, entertain children, general help during the shoot),
shopping (purchase frames, envelopes, labels...),
judges (select which pictures will be printed and framed),
assemblers (we get together to assemble finished pictures into frames and package them),
delivery (we give the framed pictures to the families)
2016-11-09 update: We have enough volunteers for the shoot on Saturday, but we can always use more help. Please send me an email if you are interested in helping out.
Photographer volunteers: Mike Barry, Jim Piraino, Judy Myers, Ken Eis, Ray Moe
Helper volunteers: Bob Babbs, Frank Etheridge, Diana Royce, Susan Miller, Noah Saxton
This year I want to have several photo stations, and assign 2 photographers to each station. We will have at least 2 pictures of each family, just in case we have any problems. Contact me if you have any questions. This is always a fun event, and we usually have time to socialize between customers.
Thanks for your help,
Mike Barry
